Good examples of how the semantic web might look/work?

Dear All,

I had a journalist contact me about doing a newspaper article about
the Semantic Web. One thing they would like to see is some kind of
"how it would work" demo. I looked at the ones on the DAML site at
[1], but none of them was very compelling. Anyone got any better
ideas?
